Race Update :: Welcome

January 30th, 2010 by admin
Welcome to our second annual Run for Compassion! Run For Compassion 2009 made almost $4000 for the Compassion International Child Survival Program in Ethiopia.  Our goal for 2010 is to at least double that!  100% of your registration fees will go to the Child Survival Programs in both Haiti and Ethiopia. Thanks for considering the lives of the children that this race will aid — and even save! We are offering online registration  so REGISTER TODAY!  And check back here for further updates on the race.

WHY run for Compassion?

Because almost 24,000 children under the age 5 die EVERYDAY of preventable causes. Your entry fee will go to Compassion’s Child Survival Program and provide the food, medical care, and other necessities required for these children to live during those critical years!

WHERE?

2803 Earl Rudder Freeway – the medical office building for BCS Abundant Life Family Practice next to Ashford Square Realtors and across from Central Texas ENT.  The race will go through the Emerald Forest Subdivision.

WHEN?

April 10, 2010. Our race will begin at  8 AM.

HOW much?

The 5K is $20/ participant and $25 for late registration on the day of the race; t-shirts not guaranteed for late registrating participants.

The 10K is $25/ participant and $30 for late registration on the day of the race; t-shirts not guaranteed for late registrating participants.

WHAT can I do? (a.k.a. the rules)

Strollers are welcome on the run! However, dogs are not permitted on the run because I seriously don’t want to pick up poop.
