Why Ethiopia and Haiti?

bryan-family_cspOur family sponsors a Child Survival Project in Addis Ababa, the capital city of Ethiopia. All registration money will be split between this project and a Child Survival Project in Haiti.
Ethiopia was not picked at random. My family’s hearts are deeply connected with this particular place. My brother, Brian, in his work for Compassion, has worked with this Project. Above is a picture of his family with the children graduating from the program there.

yeneneh_sosieBrian and his wife and four kids recently adopted my niece and nephew from Addis Ababa.

Haiti Earthquake

Why Haiti?
I know the answer seems obvious, but the need is great. The earthquake is becoming old news here, but the devastation is real for the Haitian people. The children are the most vulnerable among them. Compassion is there. They were already there, helping children before the earthquake. They have been there since 1968. Before the earthquake, more than 62,900 children were being sponsored in Haiti. They will continue their work there, in Jesus’ name. We just wanted to be apart of what they are doing in the Child Survival Program in Haiti.
